Taggart Discusses Smoking Past

In an exclusive interview with the Leicester Mercury, as part of a six-week campaign in partnership with the Stop Smoking Service to encourage members of the public to kick the habit, former Leicester City defender and Balls to Stop ambassador Gerry Taggart opened up about smoking during his playing days.

““After a match we would go out and have a few beers and I might get through a packet of 20 in a night,” he revealed.

“If I was bored during a day off I would have a few cigarettes.”
